IMPACT FOR

In 2023, youth customers ages 6-19 are eligible for a Youth fare, which provides a 70% discount. Children 5 and younger ride free with a fare-paying adult.

YOUTH CUSTOMERS

WHAT IS THE NEW FARE STRUCTURE?

Using customer and community feedback, RTD is implementing a one-year pilot program offering Zero Fare for Youth ages 19 and younger. Learn more about the
pilot program here.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

It’s simple. If you are a youth customer age 19 or younger, you won’t pay for RTD services during the pilot program implementation. The pilot program launches in September 2023.

Once you turn 20 years old, if you are enrolled in a post-secondary school (a college, university, community college, technical school or other higher education institution), you may be eligible for the CollegePass or the newly approved SemesterPass.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

RTD will take steps to ensure that communication with members of the public with disabilities is effective throughout the study. Persons who require materials in alternative formats, need sign language interpretation, or require other communication consideration for participation, please contact RTD’s ADA Manager at Gabe.Christie@rtd-denver.com. Please provide three business days notice for services to be arranged.
